'Building and Construction Industry' Extra Apprentice Incentive ...

The program is designed to assist SMEs and Training Groups by providing extra incentives to employ an apprentice within the Building and Construction Industry and enhancing the industry with more apprentices for the jobs required.

SMEs with less than 200 employees wanting to employ a new apprentice and/or apprentices that are commencing further education and skills in Certificate III or IV levels in Building & Construction Occupations may apply for the funding. The program will be closing on February 28th 2013 so get your application in before this date to apply for funding for apprentices.

Small to Medium businesses in the Building and Construction sector with skills shortages in the following categories are sought for the funding:

Air-conditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber

Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

??????????????? Electrician

??????????????? Fibrous Plasterer

??????????????? Joiner

??????????????? Landscape Gardener

??????????????? Painting Trades Worker

??????????????? Plumber

??????????????? Roof Plumber

??????????????? Roof Tiler

??????????????? Sheet Metal Trades

??????????????? Sign writers

??????????????? Solid Plasterer
