Johanns, former governor of Nebraska, will reportedly not seek reelection to his Senate seat at the end of his term.
Johanns, who succeeded current Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel, was elected to the Senate in 2008 and plans to retire in 2014.
Looks like the GOP will have another primary on its hands:
