Does a positive attitude really help myeloma patients live longer ...

Article showing some of the benefits of a positive attitude ? not in terms of ultimate outcomes but rather how we live during and post-treatment. Benefits:

? short- or long-term benefit, including reduced distress, better coping and stress management, greater quality of life, enhanced pain control, less depression, prevention of trauma symptoms, and more self-esteem, life satisfaction, social functioning, and hopefulness.

Should note that positive attitude or optimism, as some of the literature shows, means greater coping and solution finding skills, not looking through everything with a ?happy face?.

Does a positive attitude really help myeloma patients live longer? YES!.
