The Hornet's Nest follows Peabody and Emmy Award-Winning conflict Journalist Mike Boettcher, and his son, Carlos, providing a perspective directly from the front lines in Afghanistan. Their journey unfolds a true story of survival for the soldiers, and of a father and son who seek to rekindle their relationship under the most harrowing of circumstances. The documentary captures the importance of supporting our service members while on the battlefield and upon their return home. The Hornet's Nest also offers a timely platform to raise awareness about the challenges many veterans and their families face during reintegration, and through Q&A with the filmmakers and partners Easter Seals and Dixon Center, urges audiences to find solutions and do more to support them.

The screening will be followed by Easter Seals New York's Gala, where Colonel David Sutherland of Dixon Center at Easter Seals will be the keynote speaker. For Gala tickets after the screening, please visit Easter Seals' website

About Easter Seals
Easter Seals has provided direct services to the military community since World War II. In 2005, recognizing the new and unmet needs of so many returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, the organization renewed its commitment to military families and veterans by establishing a Military and Veterans Initiative to address serious gaps in service and mobilize its national community-based provider network. Today, Easter Seals serves thousands of military families across its 73 affiliates, 550 nationwide service sites, 24,000 professional staff and 40,000 local volunteers. Last year, Easter Seals partnered with Dixon Center and Colonel David W. Sutherland to bring education, employment and access to healthcare to veterans, military service members, and their families.?
