How realistic are the 2012 end of world scenarios?

The 2012 end of world scenarios were popular in modern culture, but they are by the fact that Mayan Long Count calendar 21st December 2012 inspired. They have nothing, that after this time or thought the world was over done seen ? this is of some (but not all) in the sense that the Maya believed that there were no visible beyond.

Potential side of the world events have been described as caused by aAlignment of the planets, the sun would see the path reaches a junction with the center of the galactic equator, or a shifting of the poles of the earth, so that it is from north to south.

These events are realistic and could cause the end of the world as we know it?

The shift of the magnetic pole, only the poles, and reversal of the orientation of the planet remains the same. Others have the theory of the present fossilized plants in places that itYou have not heard that the earth once in temperate zones, very different places and that this was caused by a piece of the earth's crust, so that it moves to a new location.

Such a change could lead to similar events as a planetary gear together, although this would change the result of gravity. These events can cause massive earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions.

All these events have been observed from time to time and are the realm ofScience fact not fiction. We have seen the destructive potential of each one of them, and when they occur on a global scale, because they were conducted by an external force, emergency services in the world would be able to cope with, there would be no mass extinction.

The effect of a shift, especially if is at the same time as a planetary conjunction of system is unknown, because the last round starts long before human memory.
